Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Brings Hans Christian Andersen’s Dark Children’s Tale The Little Matchgirl To The Playhouse Theatre.

Shakespeare’s Globe visits the Playhouse from 13th-17th March to re-tell Hans Christian Anderson fairy tales in The Little Matchgirl (and Other Happier Tales.)

Aimed at both children and adults, the co-production by Shakespeare’s Globe and Bristol Old Vic is directed by former Kneehigh Artistic Director Emma Rice and features spellbinding storytelling through puppetry, music and magic.

The Little Matchgirl was originally written in 1845 by Hans Christian Andersen – one of the most widely translated authors in the world.
