All good things must end, and all celebrity obsessed, all public fascinations must finally be allowed to go out in a blaze of glory.

There have been few series that have caught the public’s imagination as much as Killing Eve, and perhaps even less that when it comes right down it, when it is actually scrutinised and boiled down to its component parts, is willing to take the audience on a trip that appeals to base function and highbrow voyeurism in a tale that is seems complicated but is actually a wonderful, well-planned tease.

Following on from David Tennant’s portrayal of Richard II, and Jasper Britton’s turn as Bolingbroke, Henry IV, the R.S.C. concludes it’s King and Country series with the reign of Henry V, in the 600th anniversary year of the battle of Agincourt, portrayed here by Alex Hassell, reprising the role following a successful run as Prince Hal in both parts of Henry IV.

There are many plays and productions that can make an audience sit up just that little bit higher in their seats and marvel at the spectacle, wonder with joy at the sheer leap in the imagination and be amazed at what the theatre company has managed to achieve in the time on stage. Complicite are no exceptions to this rule as they bring their superb adapted version of Zizou Corder’s acclaimed Lionboy to the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre.
