The Antarctic: A place where a person from Liverpool can be at one with Penguins, Polar Bears, a sarcastic snowman with a not just a carrot on his nose but a chip on a shoulder and a cob on his mind and where a man’s underpants can signify that you are truly the master of all you survey. Life it seems can be serene and peaceful as the Scouse of The Antarctic.

The world is forever changing, no sooner have you got to grips with one situation than another comes along to take yet another swipe at you and push you to the brink. Such is the world of Scrappers and those living in a world in which is always under threat by new methods.

This autumn the Everyman and Playhouse continue their commitment to nurture new talent by presenting another debut play in the Playhouse Studio. Scrappers, a funny and tender comedy which tells the story of a small group of scrap merchants. Written by Daniel Matthew and directed by Matthew Xia, the cast features David Judge, John McGrellis, Ged McKenna and Molly Taylor and will be staged in the intimate ‘upstairs’ space from Thursday 24th October to Saturday 16th November.
