As Peter Mitchelson recovers from his interview at the B.B.C. Merseyside studios on Hanover Street, it’s possible to understand how much the Shiny New Theatre Festival means to him. Watching his through the glass giving answers to the radio presenter about the ten day festival at the Lantern Theatre on Blundell Street only makes you admire him more for what he does for all the acts that are taking their performances to the theatre and trusting Peter with a little piece of their souls.

Shiney New Theatre Returns To The Lantern Theatre This July.
Last year Shiny New Theatre raised the game on producing and showcasing new and exciting talent, for 2013 they aim to go another stage further by lengthening the festival from 5 days to a mind boggling 10 days of raw and stimulating works at The Lantern Theatre, Liverpool.
From the 12th till the 21st July Shiny New Theatre will be showcasing talent and plays such as the incredible Alistair Clark, Sam Avery’s Rock and Dole, The Brief Afterlife of Reginald Tanner, Jollyboat, last year’s sensational David Alnwick otherwise known as the majestic totally ninja and the Municipal Theatre London’s adaptation of Lord Byron’s classic verse drama Cain.
