First Ever Tour From British Comedy Award Winning Duo Cardinal Burns.

British Comedy Award winners and B.A.F.T.A. nominees Cardinal Burns have announced their first-ever national tour, a 30-date run starting at the Soho Theatre on 8 September 2014 and calling at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre on Thursday 2nd October.

From Rachel and Yumi to Banksy, Turkish Cabbies and the Office Flirts, join Cardinal Burns for their mix of obscure, hilarious and dark characters, hot on the heels of the brand new series of their B.A.F.T.A. nominated television show.

Maureen Nolan To Play Mrs Johnstone In Blood Brothers At The St. Helens Theatre Royal.

Following sell out seasons in the U.S., Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan, the international smash hit musical Blood Brothers continues to tour the U.K. Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time, Blood Brothers has triumphed across the globe. Scooping up no less than four awards for best musical in London and seven Tony Award nominations on Broadway, Blood Brothers is simply unmissable and unbeatable. This epic tale of Liverpool life ran in London’s West End for 24 years, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone, and has been touring the U.K. since 1995. Now this stunning musical comes to St. Helens’ Theatre Royal from Monday 17th to Saturday 22nd November.

Black Moth To Play At The Kazimier This September.

New Heavy Sounds are extremely pleased to announce that Black Moth will be hitting the road in September and October on their first headline tour, including a night at Liverpool’s Kazimier on September 27th, to promote the release of their long awaited 2nd album Condemned To Hope.

Black Moth rose from the Leeds underground scene, taking their kaleidoscopic heaviosity and their love for Stooges squalor, Sabbath sulphur and stoner vibes, to create an onslaught of monumental riff sorcery and serpentine grace.

PurpleCoat Tour the U.K. And Ireland With New Show.

Liverpool’s PurpleCoat are hitting the road next month after they take Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on tour across the U.K. and Ireland. Supported by Stephen Fry, the R.S.C. and National Theatre, and well into development of their first feature film, this will be PurpleCoat’s first tour.

Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s most bittersweet comedies, memorably performed recently for the re-opening of the Liverpool Everyman. PurpleCoat’s production, set within a heavily influenced 90’s Benidorm-esque seaside resort, aims to discover the play from a whole new direction as it tours cities including Dublin, Birmingham, Stratford and London.

The Kaiser Chiefs Return To Liverpool As Part of 2015 U.K. Tour.

Following a run of summer festivals, the Kaiser Chiefs have confirmed a U.K. headline tour in February 2015, with nine new shows added to the previously announced London The 02 Arena and Leeds First Direct Arena dates. This tour will also see the band return to Liverpool’s Echo Arena for the first time since March 2009. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, August 15 at 9am.

Buckle Tongue To Launch New E.P., A King In All Of Us, At The 02 Academy This September.

On the 13th September one of the hardest hitting and musically brutal young bands from Merseyside will unleash their E.P., A King In All Of Us, on the audience at the o2 Academy in Liverpool.

This tremendous young band, comprising of Benny Chance on vocals and bass, Shaun Ridge on guitar, Jack Somers on lead guitar and Jord Chance on drums, have slowly but with intoxicating dynamism and seemingly unrelenting energy, taken each audience member on a thrill ride which is on a scale of the early days of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal era but with that undeniable and unmistakeable Merseyside charm. Buckle Tongue are a force of nature which nobody should miss out on seeing.

Janet Devlin To Play At the East Village Arts Centre On December 4th.

Flame haired Northern Irish singer-songwriter Janet Devlin is back, stronger than ever before with her debut album Running With Scissors, which was released on 9th June 2014. This 10-track, full of folk-driven pop songs and heart touching ballads, showcases Janet’s unique and enchanting vocals, which first caught the public’s attention on Series 8 of The X factor in 2011. On the back of the album’s release, Ms. Devlin has announced a series of gigs which starts on December 1st in Bristol, takes in Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds on the 2nd and finishes at The Surya in London on December 16th with a special night at Liverpool’s EVAC on December 4th.

The Treatment, Buffalo Summer And Massive To Play In Liverpool’s East Village Arts Centre This October.

Having recently played to a bursting-at-the-seams tent at this year’s Download Festival, part of a lengthy run taking in major European events and key supports (Alter Bridge, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, etc.), The Treatment have confirmed a second run of U.K. headline dates in support of current studio album, Running With The Dogs.

Prior to this tour, the Cambridge rockers will release a new single/video; titled The Outlaw and taken from the aforementioned album, this live track has been remixed by U.S. producer Bob Marlette (Rob Zombie, Airbourne, Black Stone Cherry, etc.), and will come with a previously unreleased bonus track.

Steve Earle To Perform In Liverpool In August.

After many years of numerous awards, extensive solo/acoustic tours, successful acting roles on HBO’s The Wire, and Treme; Steve Earle, the rabble rousing godfather of the alternative country scene is back to tour around Europe in 2014, including an exclusive performance at the Liverpool Auditorium (Echo Arena) on August 20th 2014.

With his most recent release in 2013 The Low Highway, the 2011 U.K. chart topper I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, Grammy Award winning 2009 release of his tribute album Townes, and going back even further to his Number One debut album Guitar Town, Earle has an extensive back catalogue which ranges to just under 30 years ago.
