Anything Goes At The Empire Theatre As Cole Porter’s Classic Musical Comes To Liverpool.

Stage Entertainment, in association with Sheffield Theatres, are delighted to announce the U.K. and Ireland tour of Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy, Anything Goes. Following its run at the Crucible theatre in Sheffield (28th November 2014 – 17th January 2015), the tour will see Anything Goes comes to the Liverpool Empire Theatre between the 16th and 21st March.

China Crisis To Perform At The Prestigious Floral Pavilion This November.

Since forming in Kirkby in 1979, China Crisis have become one of the most enduring and much loved groups to have come out of the Liverpool area. As part of the autumn season at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton, the band will be performing on November 14th in what promises to be a magical night of music.

Coming out the city that was bulging with new wave acts that included Echo and the Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, both Gary Daly and Eddie Lunden have wowed their live audiences with sets that have been gracious and entertaining and fans have taken.

Billy Cowan’s Still Ill To Be Performed At The Lantern Theatre As Part Of Homotopia Festival.

A tragic love story between ‘the jumped up pantry boy’ and the ‘boy with the thorn in his side’ comes to Liverpool’s Lantern Theatre on 21ST and 22nd November, as part of Homotopia Festival.

Still Ill is an award-winning new play that explores the legacy of the peace process in Northern Ireland and the music of The Smiths. It is a blistering drama that involves gay paramilitaries and gives an honest assessment of Ulster ten years after the signing of the Good Friday Agreement.

Written by award-winning playwright Billy Cowan (who teaches Creative Writing at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk) and directed by Kenneth Branagh’s younger sister Joyce.

Brit Floyd Announce Night At The Liverpool Echo Arena As Part of 2014 Tour.

Having performed to over one million fans around the world since its first show in Liverpool, England in January 2011, Brit Floyd – The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Show, returns to the U.K. from November 2014 to perform DISCOVERY, a stunning new three hour chronological musical journey spanning the entire recording career of Pink Floyd from 1967 – 1994.

The tour, which starts on November 19th in Norwich and will visit venues in towns and cities such as Brighton on the 22nd November, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on Monday 1st December and Gateshead on 5th December before coming to Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Saturday 13th December.

Bryan Ferry To Return To Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall in 2015.

After an impressive set of performances around the world throughout 2014 including the lauded Glastonbury and Coachella debuts, British musical icon Bryan Ferry has announced a 20 date U.K. tour in May and June 2015.

The newly announced dates will feature an incredible set list of both Roxy Music and solo hits, and include songs from Ferry’s forthcoming new album Avonmore (released Nov 17th). The tour, which starts on Friday 8th May at the Cambridge Corn Exchange and will take in venues such as the New Theatre in Oxford on May 9th, Newcastle City Hall on Sunday 17th May, Birmingham Symphony Hall on May 20th and Poole Lighthouse on Sunday 7th June, will be coming to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday 26th May.
