Irish Singer/Songwriter Orla Gartland Announces New E.P. And Night At The East Village Arts Club.

Singer/songwriter Orla Gartland from Dublin has announced her 4 track Lonely People E.P. and 11 date headline tour across the U.K. and Ireland in February 2015 which includes a night at Liverpool’s East Village Arts Club on February 18th.

Lonely People follows on from her 2013 successful debut E.P. Roots which boasts an impressive set of stats for a debut release; charting at No.1 on the Irish iTunes chart, and No.15 in the main iTunes charts overall.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels To Hit Liverpool’s Empire Theatre In 2015.

Prepare to be transported to the luxurious lap of the French Riviera where the decadent world of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson is set to come crashing down with the arrival of larger-than-life Freddy Benson as West End sensation Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is to come to the Liverpool Empire Theatre from Tuesday 7th till Saturday 18th July 2015.

Soon realising the town isn’t big enough for the both of them, the two find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid for the affections of millionaire soap heiress Christine Colgate. Little do they know what they’ve let themselves in for.

The Wombats To Tour And Release New Album In 2015.

As The Wombats prepare to launch their third album next Spring – the follow-up to their number three Gold-certified hit This Modern Glitch – the trio have confirmed details of a major U.K. tour that includes a substantial London show at the O2 Brixton Academy as well as a homecoming date at Liverpool’s O2 Academy.

The much loved band will be coming back to Liverpool on April 18th for their penultimate show of the tour. After playing in cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rome, Birmingham and Glasgow, to come home will be a huge bonus for the group.

Anything Goes At The Empire Theatre As Cole Porter’s Classic Comes To Liverpool.

Stage Entertainment, in association with Sheffield Theatres, are delighted to announce the U.K. and Ireland tour of Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy, Anything Goes. Following its run at the Crucible theatre in Sheffield (28th November 2014 – 17th January 2015), the tour will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre Thursday 29th January 2015 and will play the Liverpool Empire from 16th – 21st March 2015. Casting will be announced shortly.

Marc Almond To Perform At The New Brighton Pavilion Theatre in 2015.

Iconic singer and performer Marc Almond has announced a full U.K. tour in April 2015 to follow the release of his much-awaited new record – entitled The Velvet Trail – on 2nd March. The tour will start at the New Brighton Pavilion Theatre on April 16th.

The Velvet Trail Tour is Marc’s first major solo jaunt in two years.  The show will include a mixture of old and new material and will have an emphasis on the pop, big ballad and electronic rock side of Marc’s catalogue.

Omid Djalili Announces New Show At The Empire Theatre On December 4th.

Omid Djalili has announced his new engaging, insightful show Iranalamadingdong which will tour the U.K. this autumn with what will surely be a night to remember at the Liverpool Empire on December 4th.

This follows on from a spring tour of Omid Djalili Live, not to mention performing in New York, L.A., San Francisco and Washington D.C. last year.

The new show will see Omid discuss themes of overcoming your fears, relationships, the perils of celebrity and getting older.

Omid said, “A lot of men in their forties try to do things to prove themselves. For me it was a choice of going on tour, learning to ride a unicycle or understanding Judaism.”

Northern Broadsides Return To The Playhouse Theatre For The Classic Romp, She Stoops To Conquer.

Following their recent successes of An August Bank Holiday Lark and Rutherford & Son, Northern Broadsides are set to light up the Liverpool stage once more, as they bring Oliver Goldsmith’s classic romp She Stoops to Conquer to the Playhouse. The 18th century comedy of manners, filled with ludicrous misunderstanding, mischief and mayhem, runs from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd November.

Tongue-tied, uptight Charles Marlow needs a lesson in the art of love. He longs for a wife but finds it easier to have a bit on the side. Barmaid Kate Hardcastle seems fair game – but there’s more to her than meets the eye. Set against the increasingly chaotic proceedings of one very long night, She Stoops to Conquer is filled with larger than life characters, outrageous frocks and plenty of mayhem.

Blue Announce New Tour In 2015, With A Night At The Philharmonic Hall Eagerly Anticipated.

Blue, one of Britain’s most successful pop groups, have announced a brand new tour for spring 2015, the tour, which starts in the Guildhall in Portsmouth on Saturday 21st March, will come to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Thursday 2nd April.

Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webbe catapulted to fame in 2001 with their Top 5 single All Rise. The affable quartet quickly ascended to the top of the charts with three number 1 albums, scored highly-respectable collaborations with Elton John and Stevie Wonder, and even represented the U.K. in 2011 at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Royal Court Youth Theatre Presents Badfellas This Month.

The Royal Court Liverpool Youth Theatre will be performing in the main auditorium with a new show that they have devised and created with writer Maurice Bessman.

Badfellas is set in a far off land where characters from stories and fairytales spend their down time. A comedy with music and some big physical dance numbers this is a great way to showcase the talents of the next generation of Liverpool actors. Tickets are just £3 with all proceeds being reinvested in the Youth Theatre by the Royal Court Liverpool Trust.
