Liverpool Legend Beryl Marsden To Make Panto Debut Alongside Calum Best At The Epstein Theatre.

LHK Productions are delighted to announce another star name to join the cast of Cinderella, the spellbinding Christmas panto coming to Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre this festive season.

One of the greatest female vocalists of the Merseybeat era, Beryl Marsden will make her panto debut as the Fairy Godmother joining previously announced heartthrob, Calum Best who headlines this year’s cast as Prince Charming. The all-star production runs from 10th December 2015 – 3rd January 2016.

Beryl has had an illustrious and prolific career spanning six decades, starting at the age of 15 when she joined a local band The Undertakers.

This Year’s DaDa Fest At The Everyman Theatre To Showcase Themes On Freedom, Barriers And Respect.

This year’s Young DaDaFest will take place at the Everyman on Thursday 25th June at 6pm. The showcase aims to encourage and empower disabled and deaf young people through creativity. This year’s event will include over 100 young people in a showcase featuring dance, music and performance led by disabled and deaf young people from Merseyside.

Young DaDaFest develops young disabled artists by giving them a platform to perform in front of a large audience. The performers are aged between 12 to 25 and disabled, deaf or living with a long term illness or condition. Some of the groups will also be performing alongside actors from the theatre’s Young Everyman Playhouse.

Mike McCartney Luvs St George’s Hall As New Exhibit Goes On Show This Autumn.

Celebrated photographer Mike McCartney will stage a new exhibition at St. George’s Hall Liverpool this autumn with the iconic venue as the focus. Entitled Mike McCartney Luvs St George’s Hall, the exhibition runs from Saturday, 5th September until Sunday, 18th October.

The evocative exhibition features 60 fascinating images depicting the Liverpool landmark and spans more than half a century – from the 1960s through to the present day. All of the images have been taken by self-taught photographer Mike, alongside a small selection of his favourite shots of the stunning Grade I Listed building.

The Makers Of Nowhere Ride Into Town This October.

Ride, the Oxford four-piece whose recent reunion shows garnered rave press and 5 star reviews across the board, have announced a brand new U.K. tour for this October. The tour happens to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the release of the band’s debut album Nowhere.

The eight date tour will kick off on October 11th at Leeds O2 Academy, before coming to the Liverpool 02 Academy on Hotham Street on October 15th and then continuing around the U.K. until October 22nd where the tour ends at the Birmingham Institute.

Jason Donovan To Star In Priscilla Queen of the Desert At The Liverpool Empire Theatre.

David Ian Productions and the Ambassador Theatre Group are delighted to announce that Jason Donovan will play the role of ‘Tick’ in the U.K. tour of the international smash hit musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which plays the Liverpool Empire from 25th – 30th January 2016.

Summer Exhibition Brings Stunning Collection Of Liverpool Paintings To St. George’s Hall.

A major retrospective exhibition of the work of Liverpool artist, Frank Green, will be held at Liverpool’s St George’s Hall this summer. The exhibition will be open to the public every day from Saturday 4th July – Monday 31st August.

Following on from the hugely successful Frank Green and the Welsh Builders exhibition at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw in North Wales earlier this year, in which the Welsh builders who contributed to the architectural wealth of Liverpool were celebrated. Frank is now thrilled to be one of the first artists to have his work displayed at the new galleries at St George’s Hall.

Laurence Marks And Maurice Gran Return To The Empire Stage With Dreamboats And Miniskirts.

This summer, Dreamboats And Miniskirts returns to theatres to showcase the greatest hit songs of the 60s. It visits the Liverpool Empire theatre from 24th to 29th August.

It is the sequel to Dreamboats And Petticoats, which premiered in Bromley in 2009, and became a musical phenomenon having played to more than two million people across the U.K. Inspired by Universal’s multi-million selling album series which now boasts seven double compilation albums and a myriad of one off special releases!

Pixie Lott To Perform In Warrington This September.

Warrington Festival organisers are pleased to announce four-time BRIT Award nominee Pixie Lott as the headline artist for the main event in September.

Pixie will play a live show on Saturday 19th September 2015 at Bank Park Warrington, as part of a series of events. Tickets are priced at £14 and go on sale Wednesday 17th June at 9am.

Warrington Festival is a new, exciting and vibrant three week series of events to be held around different parts of the town throughout September.
