Make Your Way To 81 Renshaw Street For An Evening With Neil Campbell And Friends This April.

On Thursday 4th April, 81 Renshaw Street presents an evening of music with Liverpool composer/guitarist Neil Campbell.

The night will open with an energetic solo set, followed by a duo set for guitar and cello with cellist Nicole Collarbone. Then, ending the evening, the three-piece version of Neil’s latest group project, After the Flood Trio (with Marty Snape on acoustic guitar and Roger Gardiner on 8-string Overwater bass), will perform trio “chamber” versions of music from the band’s recent eponymous 2018 album.

Green Day’s American Idiot To Visit The Playhouse This July.

A special tenth anniversary tour of a rock musical with music by multi- Grammy award-winning band Green Day will visit the Liverpool Playhouse from 9th-13th July.

American Idiot features hit songs from the band including Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Holiday and the blockbuster title track American Idiot.

American Idiot follows three boyhood friends, each searching for meaning in a post 9/11 world. A story of youthful disillusion and mistrust, the production draws parallels with the U.S.A. today, where school children have mobilised to form an impressive campaign for gun law reform.

Starsailor’s James Walsh Will Be Performing At EBGBS’ This May.

Front man of multi-million selling band Starsailor, James Walsh has proven his own worth as a singer-songwriter in his own right. He’s written songs with Eliza Doolittle, Melanie C, Suzanne Vega, and Professor Green – to name a few; as well as writing movie soundtracks and now he will be coming to Liverpool’s EBGBS’ for a special night of music on May 22nd.

Starsailor’s initial run of success saw both their Love is Here debut album and the 2003 follow-up Silence is Easy hit #2 on the U.K. charts as they raced to a total of 3 million sales. The band also enjoyed more than their fair share of prestigious gigs, supporting the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Police, The Killers, and U2.

Television Presenter And Comedian Alexander Armstrong Announces “Revealing” New Show At Warrington’s Parr Hall This November.

Alexander Armstrong will be baring all on his latest tour All Mouth and Some Trousers; expect candid stories, laughter, music and some relief that “baring all” is just a figurative expression.

Known as one half of comedy double act Armstrong and Miller and the presenter of B.B.C. One’s celebrated early evening quiz programme Pointless, Alexander also narrates children’s favourite Hey Duggee and presents on Classic FM.

On Saturday 9th November the Warrington audience can find out what lurks behind the mere noise; there will be songs, there will be stories, there will be trousers – with any luck.

LHK Youth Theatre Are looking For The Stars Of Oliver The Musical.

Consider Yourself part of the LHK Youth Theatre family as they announce open auditions to find stars for their upcoming production of Oliver The Musical.

On Sunday 24th March, male and female performers aged 6-19 are welcome to attend the open auditions which will take place at The Epstein Theatre at 10:30am.

The regions’leading youth theatre company will bring Charles Dickens’beloved novel to life on The Epstein Theatre stage this November.

There is no need to book an audition slot, registration will take place on the day; all audition material will be provided, and all applicants will be asked to sing a verse and chorus of a song of their choice.

Dutch-Surinamese DJ Carista Plays Liverpool For SisBis Show On 13th April.

Liverpool Nightlife Collective SisBis announce their next refugee fundraiser: Carista, SNO and resident, Giovanna, at 24 Kitchen Street on 13th April 2019 Liverpool Nightlife collective.

SisBis are delighted to welcome their first booking from outside the UK, the Dutch-Surinamese DJ, Carista, on Saturday 13th April 2019. She will be joined by Manchester DJ, SNO and SisBis resident Giovanna, with visuals by local illustrator, Helena Geilinger. All proceeds and donations on the night will go to local charity, Refugee Women Connect.

Celebrate The South Asian Contribution To Ian Brown’s ‘Unfinished Monkey Business’ Album On Its 21st anniversary This April At The Unitarian Church In Liverpool.

Former Asia, Stone Roses and Ian Brown guitarist Aziz Ibrahim & Ian Brown and Winachi Tribe percussion maestro Inder Goldfinger will come together on the 21st year Anniversary since the release of Ian Brown’s debut solo album, Unfinished Monkey Business to celebrate their collaboration on the record.

Unfinished Monkey Business was funded and produced by Brown, enjoyed a Top 5 U.K. Album Chart position, achieved gold sales in the U.K. and brought him Top 20 hits such as My Star, Corpses In Their Mouths and Longsight M13. Both Aziz and Inder worked on the album, developing the ideas with Brown, writing and bringing the record’s strong South Asian influence to the fore.

Award-Winning Broadway Comedy Stones In His Pockets Heads To The Playhouse For Six Nights.

Following Liverpool’s St. Patrick Day celebrations, the Playhouse will welcome the hilarious Irish comedy Stones in His Pockets to the city from 18th-24th March.

Stones in His Pockets has won countless awards including the Olivier Award for best comedy and nominations for three Tony awards. Written in 1996, the production has performed on both the West End and Broadway stages.

Set in rural Ireland, a small village is turned upside down when a major Hollywood film studio descends to make a blockbuster film. Told through the eyes of locals and extras for the film Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, it becomes clear that tinsel town’s romantic view of Ireland is a long way from reality.

There’s No Place Like Liverpool As The Wizard Of Oz Comes To The Epstein Theatre This Easter.

LHK Productions prove once again that there is no place like Liverpool as the cast of their wicked Easter panto The Wizard of Oz were in the city to launch the show, including X Factor stars Sean Smith and Lola Saunders.

Follow the yellow Brick Road to The Epstein Theatre when the production comes to the Hanover Street venue from Thursday 11th – Monday 22nd April. The full cast also includes Greatest Hits Radio Liverpool’s Claire Simmo, Liverpool favourite Lindzi Germain, the hilarious Lewis Pryor, and everyone’s favourite Dame, Michael Chapman.
