Acclaimed Musician, Steve Hillage, Comes To Liverpool This November.

Ahead of his U.K. dates next month, acclaimed musician Steve Hillage has announced extra dates for November 2019 due to demand, including an evening at Liverpool’s 02 Academy on Saturday 23rd November.

The shows will see Steve performing tracks from his classic 70s albums Green, L, Fish Rising and Motivation Radio, joined onstage in the Steve Hillage Band by his synthesiser playing partner Miquette Giraudy and the members of Gong.  Gong will also be playing their own separate set.

Since he began playing guitar in the early 1960s, through his time with Gong and beyond as a solo artist and one half of System 7, Steve Hillage has embodied what it means to be a truly progressive musician.

Experience Six Plays In Two Weeks At The Everyman For YEP Directors Festival This June.

Six young theatre directors will present productions over just two weeks at the Everyman, as part of the Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) Directors’ Festival.

Starting on Monday 3rd June, the free festival provides directors in their first year of the YEP Young Directors Programme, with the opportunity to showcase their work in front of a live audience.

Using the expertise of other YEP strands, including Technicians, Producers and Marketers, the festival encourages young theatre makers to work together to produce exciting theatre for the Everyman’s studio space, EV1.

Stage Show Celebrating The History Of Goodison Park Returns To The Epstein Theatre This August.

Due to last year’s fantastic rave reviews, From The Heart of Everton’s Badge to the Grand Old Lady is returning to The Epstein Theatre this August. The play celebrates the extraordinary history of Goodison Park, which has been home to Everton Football Club for 125 years and comes to the Hanover Street venue from Thursday 29th – Sunday 31st August.

Produced by Blue Park Productions, in association with The Epstein Theatre, the play is written by Kenny O’Connell.

The story is centred around the Everton Lock-Up, or Prince Rupert’s Tower as it is known locally, which has stood at the peak of Everton Brow since 1787 and also sits proudly on the club’s crest.

Music Sensation Denis Coleman Returns To Liverpool This July.

Born in the United States of America, now based in London, 15-year-old Denis Coleman is rapidly becoming one of the most promising emerging pop artists on the U.K. scene. He began his musical career aged 5, when he first picked up a violin. Discovering a passion for the discipline, he began studying at the Royal College of Music, where he also began composing music. At the age of 10, he wrote his first pop song.

Spymonkey are returning to Liverpool hot on the heels of their 2018 festive hit A Christmas Carol – celebrated as one of the Playhouse’s most successful Christmas shows ever. The Brighton-based group are touring Cooped around a handful of venues in the UK, before heading to the USA.

Wanderlust Theatre Brings The History Boys To The Hope Street Theatre This July.

An all-female production team leads the almost male cast as Wanderlust Theatre brings Alan Bennett’s The History Boys to the Hope Street Theatre from the 24th to the 27th July.

The History Boyscelebrates an unruly group of bright, funny boys in pursuit of sex, sport and a place at University” and is amongst the finest of works by the Yorkshire playwright. The play has won Olivier and Tony Awards and was first performed in 2004, transferring to Broadway with a successful film following in 2006.

Don’t Misunderstand, Liverpool Theatre Company Boisterous Are Back At The Royal Court.

Liverpool’s new theatre company that is dedicated to producing, developing and nurturing existing and new talent from Liverpool’s BAME communities is back at Liverpool’s Royal Court. Boisterous, run by Miriam Mussa and Maurice Bessman, have partnered up with Positive Impact for their second play.

After the massive success of Bouncers last year, which had a 10-day run in the Studio space followed by two weeks in the main house at the Court, they are producing Misunderstood? written by Barbara Phillips.
