Britain’s finest songwriters and session musicians present a sophisticated masterclass in melody, when The Definitive Burt Bacharach Songbook comes to The Epstein Theatre on Saturday 20th July in a wonderful production honouring the music of Burt Bacharach.

Regarded as one of the great American songwriters of the 20th century, he penned chart topping hits for artistes such as Dionne Warwick, Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Gene Pitney, The Carpenters and many more.

Liverpool born recording artist and singer-songwriter John Reilly fronts this concert with his spiritual and soulful vocals, supported by hand-picked world class session players who usually back artists such as Paul Carrack and Take That.

Stellar Cast Revealed For Cinderella At The Epstein Theatre This Christmas.

Epstein Entertainments Ltd today announce the first wave of stars confirmed for their debut panto production, coming to The Epstein Theatre this Christmas.

Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward; Benidorm’s Crissy Rock; and Brookside’s Sarah White are all set to appear in Cinderella at the Hanover Street venue later this year.

Audiences are guaranteed to have a ball when the greatest rags to riches tale opens from Friday 6th December ’19 – Sunday 5th January ’20 – and tickets are on-sale now.

Sammy Winward will lead the cast in the title role of Cinderella.

Louise RedKnapp And Amber Davies To Star In 9 To 5 The Musical At The Liverpool Empire Theatre This October.

The producers of Dolly Parton’s 9 To 5 The Musical announced today that Louise Redknapp will star as Violet Newstead and Amber Davies will star as Judy Bernly when the smash hit musical plays the Liverpool Empire from 1st to 5th October.

Louise Redknapp is currently playing the role of Violet Newstead in the West End production of the show. She most recently starred as “Sally Bowles” in the national tour of Cabaret and in 2016 she reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing. As a musician Louise has sold millions of records. She was a member of the band Eternal before embarking on a highly successful solo career, with her first live shows in 15 years selling out all over the U.K.

On Sunday 4th August, Liverpool’s Lightning Seeds, Space, The Farm and The Tea Street Band will all converge on the old Welsh town of Rhyl and bring a three-day festival to its barn-storming conclusion.

Acclaimed Musician, Steve Hillage, Comes To Liverpool This November.

Ahead of his U.K. dates next month, acclaimed musician Steve Hillage has announced extra dates for November 2019 due to demand, including an evening at Liverpool’s 02 Academy on Saturday 23rd November.

The shows will see Steve performing tracks from his classic 70s albums Green, L, Fish Rising and Motivation Radio, joined onstage in the Steve Hillage Band by his synthesiser playing partner Miquette Giraudy and the members of Gong.  Gong will also be playing their own separate set.

Since he began playing guitar in the early 1960s, through his time with Gong and beyond as a solo artist and one half of System 7, Steve Hillage has embodied what it means to be a truly progressive musician.

Six young theatre directors will present productions over just two weeks at the Everyman, as part of the Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) Directors’ Festival.

Starting on Monday 3rd June, the free festival provides directors in their first year of the YEP Young Directors Programme, with the opportunity to showcase their work in front of a live audience.

Using the expertise of other YEP strands, including Technicians, Producers and Marketers, the festival encourages young theatre makers to work together to produce exciting theatre for the Everyman’s studio space, EV1.
