The Promise Of Something Different As Knee Deep In Promises Comes To The Royal Court Studio Space.

What do you do when your mum dies and you’ve promised to do “something different” for her funeral? That is the problem that Dean is facing in Knee Deep In Promises at Liverpool’s Royal Court Studio.

Starring Debbie Brannan (Cilla, Coronation Street), Lewis Bray (Cartoonopolis) and Sharon Byatt (Bread, Blood Brothers) and directed by Paul Goetzee, the play is a bitter-sweet story about how difficult it can be to live a simple life.

The script is another one that was developed through the theatre’s programme to promote new writing – Stage Write. It is the third Stage Write play this year following Masquerade and Pig and there are more promised for 2020.

Spandau Ballet sold millions of records worldwide.   Martin is a huge television personality starring in the likes of The Krays & Eastenders alongside his famous role in Spandau Ballet.   Martin also starred on the West End in the hit musical Chicago whilst still finding time to appear in Channel 4s Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.

Liverpool’s Playhouse Theatre To Host Enchanting Film Turned Musical Amélie On Final Dates Of U.K. Tour.

The striking stage adaptation of the critically acclaimed, BAFTA award-winning film Amelie will make its final stop at the Liverpool Playhouse, following a mammoth U.K. tour.

The production visits Liverpool for eight performances from 14th-19th October, before embarking on a tour across the globe.

Amelie The Musical tells the story of an astonishing young woman who lives quietly in the world but loudly in her mind. She secretly improvises small but extraordinary acts of kindness that bring happiness to those around her. However, when a chance at love comes her way, she realises that to find her own contentment she’ll have to risk everything and say what’s in her heart.

Be Spellbound By A Series Of Jazz On Friday Nights At Liverpool’s Capstone Theatre.

Jazz this Autumn at Liverpool Hope’s Capstone Theatre includes a series of Friday evening concerts by a truly international selection of artists.  On Friday 18th October pianist/composer John Law brings his Recreations band to the venue in a concert featuring Parliamentary Jazz Award winner Sam Crockatt on saxophones. Recreations is an acoustic quartet that focuses on creating innovative new jazz standards from the music of pop and indie artists such as Radiohead, Daft Punk and The Beatles.

On Friday 8th November a French duo consisting of pianist Jean-Marie Machado and accordionist Didier Ithursarry present a concert of original music for piano and accordion.

The Gig Cartel presents Hugh Cornwell’s Electric – The Monster Tour which is coming to Liverpool as part of a U.K. tour this November and December on November 12th.

Cameron Mackintosh announced today casting for his acclaimed production of the Boublil and Schonberg musical Les Miserables opening at the Liverpool Empire Wednesday 9th – Saturday 26th October 2019.

Killian Donnelly will play Jean Valjean, Nic Greenshields as Javert, Katie Hall as Fantine, Martin Ball as Thenardier, Sophie-Louise Dann as Madame Thenardier, Harry Apps as Marius, Tegan Bannister as Eponine, Will Richardson as Enjolras and Bronwen Hanson as Cosette.

Completing the cast will be Joseph Anthony, Helen Aylott, Jamie Birkett, Keoni Blockx, Michael Burgen, Nicholas Carter, Mary-Jean Caldwell, Danny Colligan, Nicholas Corre, Megan Gardiner, Zac Hamilton, Jessie Hart, Teleri Hughes, Brian James Leys, Ruby Lyon, Leo Miles, Shane O’Riordan, Lee Ormsby, Jordan Simon Pollard, Corrine Priest, Aaron Pryce-Lewis, Janne Snellen, Ruben Van Keer and Emma Warren.

Psychological Thriller Takes To The Stage For Halloween Week.

Prepare to be chilled to the bone when a gripping new psychological thriller Blood Runs Deep premieres at The Epstein Theatre this Halloween, starring ex-Blue member Antony Costa.

The chilling new play presented by Break A Leg Productions in association with Bill Elms comes to the Hanover Street venue from Tuesday 29th October – Saturday 2nd November following a sell-out pilot run at The Unity Theatre last year.

A New Play By Writer, Performer And Activist Mandy Redvers-Rowe Comes To The Everyman Theatre This October.

Written and performed by artist and activist Mandy Redvers-Rowe, Measuring Up uses monologue, movement and original music to explore how we measure expectations, both the ones that we place on ourselves and the ones that are forced upon us by others. Featuring two performers, the piece is an experiment in inclusive theatre practice which explores new and innovative ways of integrating sign language interpretation, audio description and subtitles aesthetically into a piece of theatre. Measuring Up is produced by Mandy Redvers-Rowe and Harriet Warnock in Association with the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse.

Critically Acclaimed Production Comes To The Epstein Theatre This Month.

Following 2018’s sell-out run, the critically acclaimed show Those Two Weeks comes to The Epstein Theatre later this month.

Those Two Weeks is a play about a family and their life the two weeks before Hillsborough – about the last time life was normal, and just how hard normal can be.

Following last year’s performance at the Unity Theatre, the show now comes to The Epstein Theatre from Wednesday 18th – Saturday 21st September in the final dates of this highly acclaimed play.
