Performing at the atmospheric West Kirby Arts Centre on 11th October 2019, Son of Dave’s unique style of beatbox grooves, harmonica playing, foot stomping and infectious songs, will be sure to deliver a fantastic night of music.
Son of Dave hails from Winnipeg, Canada and has been based out of London for over twenty years. He’s toured all over Europe and North America as well as performing in countries such as Uganda, South Africa, Lebanon and Russia.
As a young harmonica player, he worked in the blues and biker bars of Manitoba. Being nurtured in the tradition of Midwest Blues and Canadian folk music, he joined Crash Test Dummies at its beginnings and rode that wave for four albums and ten years until returning to his more humble, rhythmic desires and the tunes he’d been working on through those dizzying years.
Many fans have come to find Son of Dave tunes through programs such as Breaking Bad, Preacher, and Bloodline where his unique songs have featured.
“I can’t wait to get back to Merseyside” said the Canadian performer. “I find both the accents and the politics agreeable. The bracing sea air of West Kirby is sure to be a smack in the hangover on the morning after the show”.
Tickets are priced at £10 in advance or £15 on the door (subject to availability). Tickets can be purchased via the West Kirby Arts Centre website. Doors open at 7pm.
