Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House Comes To The Hope Street Theatre This Month.

We live in a world where face to face communication is declining and viewing life through the filtered lens of social media is the norm. It is easy to see perfection in other’s lives and create the image of your own wonderful life in order to keep up.

We are all playing a part, putting on a show and it’s easy to forget that there’s another story hidden behind closed doors.

Liverpool Network Theatre Group present A Doll’s House, the story of Nora, the wife of a banker, Thorwald. Nora has a dark secret encased in naivete and good intentions which she has kept from her husband for many years. When Christina, Nora’s old school friend, arrives for a surprise Christmas visit, Nora’s deception threatens to tear her family apart.

A Doll’s House explores the roles of power and control within marriage with themes as relevant today as when it was written in 1879. You are invited to spend Christmas with the Helmers, step into their beautiful home, and peek behind the filter of their perfect life.

7:30pm on 10th, 11th and 12th January at the Hope Street Theatre, Liverpool Tickets are available here  https://www.ticketquarter.co.uk/Online/a-dolls-house.  Tickets are priced at £9 or £7 for concessions
