British rock band The Coral have just announced a headline tour for spring 2019, and Warrington’s Parr Hall is on the venue list.
The influential Wirral five-piece released their critically-acclaimed new album Move Through The Dawn in August, in follow-up to 2016’s psychedelic masterpiece Distance Inbetween.
The new release, which is filled with perfectly-crafted melodic and hopeful songs, which will be given an airing on the new tour.
In true Coral fashion the new album is also eccentric; informed by 60s and 70s music but hardly beholden to it, and very much with its own character.
The album contains the singles Reaching Out for a Friend, Sweet Release and Eyes like Pearls, which was play-listed by B.B.C.’s 6 Music and Radio 2.
Since their debut E.P. release in 2001 The Coral have sold over a million U.K. albums, with five reaching the Top 10 including 2003’s chart-topping Magic and Medicine.
Their eight Top 40 singles include Dreaming of You, In the morning, Pass it On and Don’t Think You’re the First.
The Coral will be supported by Cut Glass Kings and Marvin Powell, both signed to their Skeleton Key record label.
Tickets for The Coral at Warrington’s Parr Hall are priced at £20. Tickets are on sale now call Box Office on 01925 442345 or visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org
