None of us dance to the same beat, the minor variations in what makes us take a tumble on the party floor of life is in the end what makes us unique, our flavours, our choices, whether to try our hand at Disco, or to continue living it up to salsa theme or grooving to melody of a Jazz combo, it is our own dance, it is the Boogie to the Beat we must endure.
The joy of the Saturday night club is the premise of L.I.P.A. student Molly Green’s latest single Boogie to the Beat, but it is perhaps the allusion to life, the beat we all crave, some shun, some may even hide from the prospect, and yet it is innate as a concept, as a feeling, to us all. It is this dichotomy of style and passion that we seek others to join in the dance with us, for a song, perhaps only to see them tap their shoes in the space available to them, with fortune across the whole night.
At some point we have all needed a distraction from the outside world, and music, even dancing to a tune is a glorious way of finding that peace that the soul provides, it is an upbeat measure of freedom in which Molly Green calmly, but with a great sense of rhythm, provides.
The Bristolian’s style is curious and sharp, reflecting fully the tones of her apparent love of certain genres and the appeal of blending them together seamlessly, a concoction, a potion of symbolism in which the right of the composer takes precedence and the result is a charm filled joy, an experience you might not have expected; a song in which has its roots in various camps but is freshly presented and delivered from the soul.
L.I.P.A.’s ethos has always been to allow the success of its students and to allow them to follow their path, in Molly Green it is assured that they have accomplished throughout.
