Wille & The Bandits, Find My Way. Single Review.

Liverpool Sound and Vision Rating 9/10

The spirit of independence is one that is proclaimed with vigorous intent and demand in the modern world we find ourselves in, the call for objective liberation, of being allowed to circumnavigate life in our own fashion, by our own common thoughts without interference from those who believe they know better, but rarely are in tune with the gut feeling and truth of another person’s heart; it is a call we must heed in ourselves and urge others to follow their own vibrant destiny.

The independent spirit is an artist’s truth, and no more so when the performer of any genre finds themselves in the unique position of representing others who see liberation from the oppressing force as the ultimate expression of individual freedom, that the call of Find My Way, whether in political, sexual, artistic or just even personal endeavour, is the pinnacle of the human cry of innermost belief.

Refusing to be placed into any type of rigid form is a belief in freedom, and one that Cornwall’s Wille & The Bandits showcase with sincerity and a sovereignty of music as they patrol the borders of creativity and find ways to punch on through to yet another domain. It is evident anytime an audience finds them in their town, it is a proof positive when you listen to their music, and in the band’s new single, Find My Way, it storms like thunder and lightning high above the memories of Tintagel and the county of England but very much of its own dynamic thought.

Wille Edwards, Matthew Brooks and Andrew Naumann have always provided a clear and measured path in which to gleefully follow, and Find My Way continues that positive road of opportunity and regard for the appetite of the fans; this new single’s beat is a storm, a rallying call to the course of the river Tamar, a shout to the those who believe they have been forgotten in the drive of countless others pursuit of glory at the expense of Cornwall, that all is well if you continue to rage, if you have the stomach for the fight ahead.

A glorious single, one that bodes of incredible fortune ahead when the group’s new album is released in February 2019.
