The Bad Flowers, Federal Charm And Those Damn Crows Come To Chester This September.

Midlands based hard rock band, The Bad Flowers and Stockport-based blues rockers Federal Charm will co-headline a Planet Rock Presents tour in the U.K. starting at the Thekla Bristol on Wednesday 19th September, and which the band will juggernaut their way to Chester’s The Live Rooms on September 23rd before finishing up on Sunday 30th September at London’s Borderline. Special guests are Those Damn Crows.

The Bad Flowers meteoric rise to fame kicked off when the band released their critically acclaimed debut album Starting Gun in February 2018.  The album spawned two radio tracks on Planet Rock – Thunder Child and Hurricane. The band embarked on a U.K. tour supporting Stone Broken and Jared James Nichols the same month.

Their recently released debut album Starting Gun is the follow up to 2016’s self-titled EP and shows the great progression of song writing and musicianship of The Bad Flowers over the past two years.

The band were named as one of Planet Rock Radio’s “Ones To Watch”.  Thunder Child, the first single taken from the Starting Gun, gained heavy airplay and was described by the station as “pure, dynamic, riff-heavy rock “n” roll delivered with passion and prowess.”

The band’s next single to be serviced to rock radio is Who Needs A Soul which will be accompanied with an official music video.

The band have received rave reviews and press coverage in the rock press including Powerplay, Planet Rock Magazine, Rock Society, Fireworks HRH Magazine and Liverpool Sound and Vision. The band features Tom Leighton (vocals, guitar), Dale Bollard Tonks (bass) and Karl Selickis (drums).

After a very successful Planet Rock Roadstars tour with SIMO and Aaron Keylock in December 2016, Federal Charm worked on some new songs and recorded some demos in an away-from-it-all cottage in Wales. The demos ultimately led to a line-up change a few months later. Founding members Paul Bowe (guitar) and L.D. Morawski (bass) recruited 23-year-old Southampton vocalist, Tom Guyer, and top Manchester drummer, Josh Zahler.

Explosions ensued the minute they hit the studio for rehearsals and song-writing. With a new energy, the revitalized team of Bowe, Morawski, Guyer and Zahler set to work, over the following months, bonding, writing and recording, and opening the shows for UFO, Y&T and for Thin Lizzy’s legendary Brian Downey and his band Alive And Dangerous.

Federal Charm recently road-tested some of the new songs and the new line-up via four sold-out shows in Bristol, Norwich, Manchester and Newcastle and received the thumbs up from fans and critics alike.

The band’s co-headline U.K. tour with the Bad Flowers is timely, as the band will preview material from their new album Passenger which will be released in autumn 2018.

Fans who pre-order the album will get the first single Choke as a digital free instant grat track. The album can be pre-ordered iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. The C.D. will be available on the merch desk when Federal Charm tour with The Bad Flowers from Wednesday 19th September.
