A Serving Of Alice Bunker-Whitney’s Place & Chips Comes To The Unity Theatre This March.

Initially developed at Metal in 2016 as part of ‘Time and Space’ residency by Unity Theatre Associate Artist, Alice Bunker-Whitney, Place & Chips is a hilarious semi-autobiographical solo theatre show that explores the complex relationships we have with our bodies.

What happens when we no longer feel at home in our own skin and can’t stop thinking about fish and chips and mushy peas…curry sauce and ketchup with bread and butter and a can of pop?

In the run up to the production, as one of Unity Theatre’s Associate Artists, Alice has been working with Unity Youth Theatre on the themes of Place & Chips. The Youth Theatre members have responded by creating their own monologues and vignettes that will be performed live and through interactive audio, around the Unity Theatre before performances on Friday & Saturday evenings.

Created and performed by Alice Bunker-Whitney and directed by Montserrat Gili, Place & Chips is a highly interactive, personal & riotous piece of theatre, told through clown, physical comedy, story-telling and animation. Played in cabaret style with a limited capacity, early booking early advised to avoid disappointment.

Tickets for Place & Chips on Friday 9th March and Saturday 10th March at the Unity Theatre are on sale now from the Box office and are priced at £10.50 and concessions at £8.50.
