A spellbinding extravaganza will be heading to Warrington’s Parr Hall next year to take audiences on a captivating journey in celebration of a true music legend.
Absolute Bowie is proud to present 50 Years of Bowie, a brand new stage show that takes a look at the iconic singer’s ever-changing persona.
Since the early 1970s, David Bowie’s ever-evolving image has captured the attention of fans across the world, and now for the first time ever Absolute Bowie will take audiences on a trip down memory lane to celebrate the singer’s best-loved personas in all their glory.
Performed by a world class five-piece band (six with added saxophone), this exciting new concert is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat with three vibrant sets and more costume changes than any other show.
Audiences can enjoy all of the Starman’s greatest hits, as well as tracks from the albums David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars, Heroes, Aladdin Sane, Hunky Dory and Young Americans, through to Heathen, Outside, Reality, Earthling and Blackstar.
The band features the incredible vocals of John O’Neill as David Bowie, with Chris Buratti on guitar, Fabio Cashio on bass, Alex Paollilo on keyboards, Alessandro Ricardi on drums and Fiona Asbury on saxophone.
Over the past nine years, the band has enjoyed roaring success while touring across the U.K. and Europe, bringing the music of Bowie to life in its own energetic and theatrical style.
Woody Woodmansey, drummer for The Spiders from Mars, said, “Absolutely wicked. As one who was there, watching Absolute Bowie put me back there again. For anyone who missed it, or fans who want to relive it, I definitely recommend it. As close to the real thing that you’ll get. Enjoy.”
Promising to raise the performance to dizzying new heights with its latest show, 50 Years of Bowie is a not-to-be-missed event that will enchant A to Z fans (Absolute Beginners to Ziggy!) with Station to Station in between.
