With a Polish/South African father and English/Irish mother, Lauren Ray and her siblings grew up living in South Africa, Poland, Austria and eventually the U.K. Now a London resident, Lauren’s success has quickly grown after extensive songwriting in London, L.A., and Nashville having worked with the likes of Martin Sutton (LeAnn Rimes) and Ian Dench (Beyoncé.)
This was shortly followed by recording her critically acclaimed debut album We Will Need Courage in Nashville. The spellbinding album showcases a masterclass for quality songwriting, production, and all nicely wrapped up by Lauren’s velvety smooth and effortlessly sultry tones. Highlights on the album include the singles Drive and Man which have received extensive U.K. regional B.B.C. Radio support as well as support from B.B.C. Radio 6 Music.
Lauren’s sound and vocals also grabbed the attention of U.S. artist Jason Ross who has collaborated with her on his chart topping releases Me Tonight and I Will Be There thus yielding over one million online streams and No.1 hits.
Off the back of her never-ending growth and success, Lauren Ray has now been invited to support Lucy Spraggan on her 30 date U.K. tour this autumn, which is elevating her rapidly as one of the biggest prospects to look out for going into 2018!
The tour will call in on Liverpool’s East Village Arts Club on September 27th.
