The Vogue Ball is returning for 2017 – and House of Suarez is promising this year’s event is set to be its most fabulous yet.
Tickets are on sale at 10am on Friday 2nd June for the Vogue Ball which will take place on Saturday, 21st October, when the multi award-winning event returns to Liverpool’s hottest arts and performance space, the Invisible Wind Factory.
House of Suarez will transform the dockside venue in breath-taking fashion to reflect the theme of the 2017 ball, the Se7en Deadly Sins, complete with a 100ft catwalk reminiscent of 1970s/80s New York (the home of the Vogue dance style) at its most glamorous.
The ball invites the best Vogue teams [known as ‘Houses’] to battle it out in a fight for ultimate dance supremacy. And all Voguers’ favourite parts of the evening are back once again, along with a new category for 2017 – the Lip Sync Battle.
Meanwhile the ball will also see the return of host Rikki Beadle-Blair, who says he cannot wait to get involved for another year of all things fierce and fabulous.
The increasingly popular Vogue Ball is the ultimate dance event, giving Voguers an amazing and memorable evening. Vogueing often imitates the perfect lines and flexibility of model poses seen in magazines such as Vogue, the fashion magazine from which the dance style took its name.
Darren Suarez, Artistic Director of House of Suarez, said, “We’re really excited to be returning to the Invisible Wind Factory for a second year. They were great in 2016, and very supportive of the event. For 2017 there will be a new work from the House of Suarez, a contemporary classical piece called Serve Your Sin.”
One of the highlights of the annual Vogue Ball is the array of ingenious and downright outrageous costumes worn by the voguers.
Darren added, “We excelled in audience figures last year, and now this year what we want to do is excel in creativity and audience participation too.
