After a hugely successful 25th anniversary tour with his band, Ian Siegal moves into 2017 in a gentler fashion with a nine date solo acoustic tour of the U.K starting March 17th and one that sees the troubadour come to Liverpool the following night.
Among his swelling collection of awards the most recent are for his acoustic work. His 2016 British Blues Award for Best Acoustic Artist (his third) saw him elevated to the Hall of Fame for a second time; and his Best Acoustic Artist nomination in the U.S. Blues Music Awards brought him his third nomination in these “Grammys” of the blues – an unprecedented tally for a British artist.
The venues for this solo tour are mostly intimate club-type settings (Siegal’s preference) where his interaction with the audience comes into its own. In London he will play two shows: one at The Green Note in Camden (already sold out) and four days later on 25th March at the Bulls Head in Barnes.
It is though surely his visit to Liverpool which will be highly anticipated by his fans, the quality of the musicianship, coupled with the generous feeling of musical warmth that comes with the Music Rooms will surely be a fitting night of Blues.
Tickets for the evening are available to purchase from the Philharmonic Hall Box office.
