Following a successful National tour in 2015 of That’s Amore, Happy Hour will open at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre for three nights in October before embarking on a 14 date U.K. tour.
The company combine their trademark physicality with humour, music, and text from long-term collaborator Chris Fittock to create a poignant, fast paced, comedy exploring our 21st century obsession with happiness and success.
Happy Hour will be hitting theatres nationwide this Autumn, opening at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool, on 5th October, followed by dates in St. Mary’s Creative Space, Chester, The Atkinson, Southport and The Arts Centre, Edge Hill University, Ormskirk.
In November the tour moves onto Jacksons Lane, London, The John Moore Theatre, King’s School, Worcester, Roxburgh Theatre, Stowe School, Bucks and The Lowry, Salford Quays, before culminating in Coronation Hall, Ulverston. More dates are being planned for Spring 2017.
The workers on Level Three are racing against the clock to reach their quota of Smiley Faces, but are they really happy enough? Can we learn to be happy? And can our emotions be bought and sold? The ‘happiness industry’ would have us think so…
Happy Hour is funny, highly engaging with a mix of characters everyone can relate to, performed by highly skilled performers and featuring a great selection of music as well as some beautiful original scores from composer Meike Holzmann.
