First up is Brick Up 2: The Wrath Of Ann Twacky (27th January to 25th February), the long awaited sequel to the most successful Royal Court play of all time. Dave Kirby and Nicky Allt are writing this brand new show for next year, starting the day after the original Brick Up finishes.
The tunnels are blocked, the Runcorn Bridge is rubble and The Kingsway Three have completed their mission, however The Wirral is not going to take this lying down!
Led by Anne Twacky, a hardy bunch of the Wirralians are rising up and calling for Birkenhexit. They don’t want the tunnels back and they are prepared to go to extremes to keep them shut. They can do just fine on their own, thank you very much.
Following that Dave Kirby’s Lost Soul (10th March to 8th April) returns to the theatre for the first time since 2008. Always one of our most requested shows, this comedy about two couples is set against the backdrop of some great Motown music.
Smigger and Donna have been married for longer than they can remember and, now that the kids have flown the nest, they have to spend their time talking to each other. Donna is keen to rekindle the flame but Smigger can’t find his matches.
Donna’s sister Pat married Smigger’s best mate Terry on the same day back in the seventies. Their story has been a bit different as Pat has decided to look elsewhere for her kicks – but who is going to tell Terry?
