St. George’s Hall is proud to announce the arrival of two of British television’s most loved stars this coming week, Robert Powell and Liza Goddard visit The Concert Room on Wednesday 18th May with their two-hander show, English Eccentrics. The pair will be bringing some of the most colourful characters in British history back to life! Presented by Clive Conway Productions, Robert and Liza will be using their great talent as a gateway for audiences to feel the presence of past legends throughout the show.
The dynamic duo take to the stage reincarnating past icons such as, William Cope, The ‘Green Man’ Of Brighton, Joshua Norton, The Self Proclaimed Emperor Of The United States Of America, Oscar Wilde, Lewis Carroll and many more!
Robert Powell is a very well-known and respected British actor who has been involved in a variety of different roles. He started of his acting career in 1967 whilst he was attending Manchester University. It did not take him long before making his big screen debut in the iconic film The Italian Job in 1969 at age of just 25. Which then lead him onto major roles that include Jesus Of Nazareth, Tommy, Doomwatch and Harlequin.
The wonderful Liza Goddard is a remarkably gifted actress who was born in Sandwell, England. This British diamond has been involved in the art of acting for over four decades! She has played roles in a number of great movies such as Woof, Take Three Girls and the household favourite Skippy.
Together on stage, they create an evening of talk and performance celebrating British Icons and T.V. favourites, making this a night to remember.
