Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour was a total sell out at the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and subsequent tour, and is a tribute to being young, lost and out of control. Funny, sad and raucously rude, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour is a musical play featuring singing, sex and Sambuca. The production runs at the Playhouse from Tuesday 31st May to Saturday 4th June.
Adapted from Alan Warner’s brilliant novel, The Sopranos, about six girls on the cusp of change, the creative team includes director Vicky Featherstone (Royal Court, London), author Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and musical arranger and supervisor Martin Lowe (Once). This touring production also features all of the cast from the play’s original production.

Writer Lee Hall’s theatre work includes Billy Elliot – the Musical and The Pitmen Painters both of which were multi-award-winning productions which toured the globe as well as enjoying successful West End and Broadway runs. His adaptations for the stage include Shakespeare In Love (Noel Coward Theatre), The Barber of Seville (Bristol Old Vic) and on screen credits include War Horse and Toast (B.B.C.).
Director Vicky Featherstone is the Artistic Director of the Royal Court in London and was the founding Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Scotland. Her credits with the National Theatre of Scotland includes Appointment with the Wicker Man, and Wall of Death: A Way of Life. Productions for the Royal Court include How to Hold Your Breath and God Bless the Child.
