2016 looks set to be a memorable year for U.K. artist Philippa Hanna. The Sheffield based singer/songwriter has been invited to open an almost-sold out tour for Leona Lewis starting on February 21st. Having already toured with acts including Lionel Richie, Wet Wet Wet, Rebecca Ferguson and Collabro.
Fans on the tour will be treated to a preview of her upcoming single Arrow which is due for release on March 11th whilst sampling other new songs from her upcoming studio album. The album which includes the iTunes chart-topping single Even Now has been recorded with producer Kyle Lee in Nashville and will be out on April 29th.
Philippa Hanna said, “Even Now was written from a place of brokenness. This year has been a testing one for me, and for many of the people I love. I realised, we each have moments when it seems our world is falling apart, sometimes without warning. It’s easy to get caught up in the ‘why’. For those of us who believe in God it’s easy to wonder where He is in those moments. It’s easy to feel deafened by the silence. The one thing I know is that my faith gives me peace in the most awful of circumstances. And something in my Spirit changes when I choose to have faith and to believe in God’s goodness through those times.”
Tickets for Leona Lewis with Philippa Hanna as support are available to purchase now from the Empire Theatre Box office.
