Celebrated British blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, Joanne Shaw Taylor, embarks on a nationwide U.K. tour presented by Planet Rock this Autumn. The acclaimed guitarist, who holds the title in many fans eyes of The Queen of Modern British Blues, will be performing songs from her critically acclaimed album The Dirty Truth in a tour that starts in Exeter on Tuesday 22nd September and which will come to Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre on October 1st.
Joanne is also pleased to announce in celebration of Record Store Day that her boutique record label Axehouse Music will release a very special limited edition transparent red 12” vinyl record on April 18th. The record features three recordings made with the B.B.C. in 2014. Track 1, Feels Like Home was recorded for A Swinging Christmas with Clare Teal for Radio 2 with the B.B.C Band. Track 2, The Dirty Truth, and Track 3, Jealousy, are solo versions recorded for the Paul Jones Blues Show on B.B.C Radio 2.
Ms. Shaw Taylor was raised in the Midlands and spent much of her youth performing at the famous Robin 2 in Bilston from where she was rightly catapulted the world’s attention. By coming to the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool for the first time, she joins the likes of Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart of being considered the finest exponents of 21st Century Blues Rock available today to ever come to the city.
