Pioneering American singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega returns to the U.K. this summer for six hotly anticipated shows, marking 30 years since the release of her eponymous debut album Suzanne Vega, and following last year’s critically acclaimed eighth studio album release Tales From the Queen of Pentacles.
Now this pioneering songwriter will be bringing her uniquely held talent to the Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday 16th June in what is already being seen as a keenly anticipated night of great music.
Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure out of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s. Her profound insight on the human experience has earned her followers of all ages and walks of life over a 30 year career yielding critical acclaim and hit songs like Luka, Tom’s Diner, and Marlene On The Wall amongst many others.
Her music has also inspired a generation of female singer/songwriters such as KT Tunstall, Tracey Chapman and Alanis Morrisette.
