The Mono LPs Launch Their New Single At The Masquerade Ball This May.

The Mono LPs are hosting a Masquerade Ball for the launch for their new single, Emilia, on Sunday 3rd May at The Magnet on Hardman Street, Liverpool.

Guests, who are invited to wear masks to the event, will be treated to a night of burlesque, circus spectacle and rock ‘n’ roll. It will be a unique experience in the seductive red room of The Magnet where many greats have played over the years.

Liverpool favourite, Paul Straws, and California babe, Chanel Samson, provide the aural delight before The Mono LP’s take the stage, while the masquerade provides the visual pleasures. The audience will be treated to a burlesque show from Dorothy Krueger, fan dancers, snake dancers and pole dancers. All this is topped off with a D.J. set from Popped Music DJs… you know this is a night you need to be at!

The double A-side kicks off with Emilia; a grungy pop song surrounding the age-old dilemma of wanting a girl that doesn’t want you back. Reeling you in immediately with the coolest cello riff, you become hooked by the driving drums that you can’t help but move to. Giving It Up is an on-topic political angst led track, smiting the fat cats and smashing bankers over the head with the deep guitar and bass line.

The video to Emilia features acclaimed actress Christine Heaney, finalist in Sky Arts ‘Nations Best Am Dram’, and member of Liverpool’s respected theatre troupe, Tell Tale Theatre. Set in the idyllic moors of the North, there’s a beauty and fragility that is soon turned on its head. First views of the video will be seen at The Masquerade Ball.

The single has already had rave reviews from You Heard it Here First, UK Music Reviews and was just awarded Classic Rock’s Track of the Week alongside Muse. The double A-side has gained radio play all around the U.K. with people loving the Royal Blood inspired White Stripes-come-Arctic Monkeys vibe. Fans of the band already include house-hold names such as Elvis Costello, Blood Red Shoes and The View. This really is going to be a big year for The Mono LP’s.

The much loved Liverpool band has a huge following and tickets to the Masquerade Ball are selling fast.
