Award winning actress Lynne Fitzgerald will star in the new comedy play to be performed at the Lantern Theatre in April, No Second Bite by Belvedere Pashun (Norma Jeane The Musical, WAG! The Musical).
Ms. Fitzgerald plays Bella, the bored, single, forty something entrepreneur who has a life changing encounter when she buys an apologetic cup of coffee for a complete stranger, (Chris played by Jaiden Micheal).
After literally bumping full force into Chris on a busy high street, they arrange to meet up in Bella’s apartment later that evening, Bella has the place all to herself, or so she thought. Her flat mate Angie (played by Charlie Griffiths) arrives home early carrying a large bottle of Cherry Lambrini and a tear in her eye, she needs consoling after being stood up by the latest loser in her long list of losers.
Bella uses every trick in the book to get Angie to leave her home alone before Chris calls around to deliver more than just a pizza…
Making her acting debut alongside Lynne and Charlie is Nadia Bakir a drama student at Liverpool John Moore’s University, who’s part time job happened to be serving coffee at House on Bold Street the day the auditions where held.
Nadia said, “Talk about being at the right place at the right time, it was the end of my shift and I had watched actresses come and go all day, I plucked up the courage to ask the producers if I could read for the role. I was still in my work clothes and I’m sure my hair must have been a sight, I was the last person to audition, I couldn’t believe it when I was offered the role”
The cast also includes Jordan Struel White and Liam Dawson. Liam is also making his acting debut after impressing former reality television star, Jaiden Micheal at the auditions.
Jaiden, infamous for his role in Desperate Scousewives not only makes his theatre debut in No Second Bite but is co-producing. His transition from reality T.V. ‘star’ to theatre actor will surprise a lot of people.
A hilarious, fast paced piece of comedy gold with a dramatic twist and has been referred to as The ‘Liverbirds on Acid’.
