The Liverpool Empire Theatre and First Family Entertainment are delighted to reveal the Christmas Pantomime 2015/16 is now confirmed as Dick Whittington.
Originally billed as Cinderella, the theatre has seized the opportunity to secure the award-winning First Family Entertainment production of Dick Whittington for Liverpool audiences this Christmas. The story of Dick Whittington will play on the Liverpool Empire stage for the first time in over 20 years. The title last played at the Empire from 18th December 1992 – 31st January 1993.
First Family Entertainment said “We are excited to bring our production of Dick Whittington to Liverpool for the first time. This production won a Manchester Theatre award in 2013/14 for Best Special Entertainment and recently completed a successful run at the Bristol Hippodrome. We are sure Dick Whittington will be a huge hit with Liverpool audiences this Christmas.’

We had a phenomenal 2014/15 pantomime season and I’m sure we can replicate this in 2015/16 with this fresh and exciting offering!”
Dick Whittington tells the rags to riches tale of a young man and his cat on an exciting quest for fame and fortune. Featuring all the traditional ingredients; sensational songs, a live band, magic, dazzling dance routines, magnificent slapstick comedy and bags of audience participation – Dick Whittington is guaranteed to be full of wonder to delight audiences of all ages.
