Liverpool’s favourite provocateur and sultry seductress, Millie Dollar, is back at the Epstein Theatre with the welcome return of The Martini Lounge for two tantalising new shows, the first of which on Saturday 18th October and then a very special Valentines Special on Saturday 14th February 2015; do not miss the very best in high class entertainment with an incredible selection of the most exciting burlesque and variety performers in the business.
First on the bill, flying in to the Epstein is the incredibly talented aerial performance artist Alexandra Hofgartner. Combining contemporary aerial circus, physical theatre and dance she creates sophisticated and beautiful performances that evoke the excitement of new beginnings, exhilaration of change and the magic of metamorphosis that will truly captivate audiences.
The high-flying acrobat master and one of Europe’s top Chinese Pole artistes Edd Muir makes a welcome return. Famed for his incredible skill and breath-taking strength he has performed all over the world and comes back to wow the audiences of Liverpool.
Getting audience’s hearts racing with her seductive charm, Luna Rosa will impress with a truly mesmerising performance. Dedicated to the art of nostalgia, Luna performs under the guise of characters from nocturnal Cairo, to the music halls of old Havana, from scenes of vintage Hollywood glamour, to other worldly lands of the imagination.
Next, a truly original artist, the hysterical Rod Laver combines hilarious stand-up with astonishing and theatrical ‘Gentleman Juggling’ which includes his totally unique oral ping pong juggling act. Having gained the reputation as one of Europe’s most entertaining and innovative jugglers he makes a delightful addition to the Martini Lounge.
Then the wacky and wonderful, multi-skilled silent clown Kiki Lovechild who brings the very best in variety, his shows include a wide array of talents including mime, physical theatre, puppetry, illusion and escapology, but is notably most known for introducing the world to Furlesque – his quirky puppet burlesque creations.
Martini Lounge’s mischievous Fred Bear is once again the evening’s host and promises to keep the audience in check whilst entertaining with his witty banter and rib-tickling brand of humour, and no Martini Lounge show would be complete without a wonderfully enticing performance from Miss Millie Dollar. Certain to leave audiences bewitched and beguiled, her captivating stage presence and beautifully crafted performances have made all previous shows smash-hit successes. Bringing a sensuous mix of classic style Burlesque with the raunchier side of Las Vegas style Bump and Grind, she never fails to deliver a mesmerizing and unforgettable routine.
All of these fantastic acts come together to present a truly unforgettable evening on Saturday 18th October, from what is regarded as the must-see Burlesque and Variety show in the U.K. Organisers are also excited to announce the first act confirmed for the Valentines Special on Saturday 14th February 2015, which sees Burlesque singer and B.B.C.’s The Voice star Kiki Deville come to the Epstein stage.
