Britain’s best all-round entertainer John Barrowman is announcing a 16-date tour for 2015 in support of his new album, You Raise Me Up. This will be John’s first full U.K. tour in four years, and promises to be an entertainment experience not to be missed.
“I’m so excited to be touring again,” said John, “that I’m choreographing songs and arranging stories in my sleep.’
John’s fans funded the album through PledgeMusic’s Direct to Fan platform. It features new arrangements of many of John’s favourite songs, including Mandy, Bridge Over Troubled Water, A Thousand Years, and the title track, You Raise Me Up.
John’s career has been nothing short of incredible and this year has been no exception. John was awarded an M.B.E. in The Queen’s Birthday Honours this month and apart from starring in Arrow as Malcolm Merlyn (aka The Dark Archer) in the United States and on Sky in the U.K., hosting Sing Your Face Off for ABC in America, John is about to release his third fantasy novel, The Book of Beasts co-authored with his sister Carole Barrowman. John’s new Channel 4 show John Barrowman’s Pets with Problems will air this summer, and later this year he’ll host the B.B.C. 1 quiz show Pressure Pad, The National Lottery Awards, and play Buttons in Glasgow SECC’s 2014-15 pantomime production of Cinderella.
“I’ve got lots to celebrate with my fans on this “You Raise Me Up Tour,”’ said John. ‘Let’s raise these theatre roofs together”!
The tour, which starts at the Southend Cliffs Pavilion on May 16th and takes in cities such as Manchester, Bournemouth and Birmingham, will come to Liverpool on Tuesday May 19th 2015. Tickets on sale from 10am Friday 27th June. Tickets are available online at www.gigsandtours.com and www.Ticketmaster.co.uk.
