Roger Beaujolais And Quartet To Perform At The Atkinson Theatre For One Night Only.

On Saturday 17th May, The Capstone continues to give its audience the very best of  jazz as it welcomes jazz maestro Roger Beaujolais and Quartet to the stage for one night only.

The London based vibraphonist had originally gained recognition with 80s jump jive favourites The Chevalier Brothers whose musicianship and anarchic brand of humour took them all over the world. After a brief spell with the chart-topping Fairground Attraction, Roger formed Latin jazz outfit the Beaujolais Band releasing two top selling albums on Acid Jazz Records.

These albums were outsold by his jazz/funk/soul albums with Vibraphonic, released on the same label. Roger was later signed to Disney’s Hollywood Records in USA for two more Vibraphonic albums before concentrating on writing and performing acoustically with his quintet and quartet.

Roger had collaborated on sessions with many massive artists including Duffy, Rumer, Robert Plant, Morrissey, Kirsty MacColl, Roni Size, Paul Weller, Guy Chambers and Alexander O’Neal.

The evening will see a superb quartet including pianist Robin Aspland, bassist Simon Thorpe and top session drummer Winston Clifford perform an evening with a jazz maestro who is set to give a musical experience like no other. Don’t miss out!

Tickets for the performance are priced at £11.50 and £10.00

Tickets are available by calling TicketQuarter Box Office on 0844 8000 410* or in person at the TicketQuarter Box Office, Queen Square, Liverpool, L1 1RJ or online at www.thecapstonetheatre.com. No booking fees.
