The Magic Numbers To Perform In Liverpool As Part Of Their Autum U.K. Tour.

After a successful jaunt to SXSW and the premiering of their new song Roy Orbison by Steve Lamacq on 6 music last week, The Magic Numbers have announced a 12-date autumn tour of the U.K.

The band are armed with a new album that will be released on Caroline/Universal this summer as they kick off their tour in Glasgow on Wednesday 10th September before coming to Liverpool’s East Village Arts Club on September 11th and playing elsewhere through the country.

The Magic Numbers are a U.K.-based four-piece comprising two pairs of brothers and sisters who are known for their unique harmonies, melodic hooks, songwriting craftsmanship and timeless sound. The band first found fame in 2005 with their self-titled debut, which contained hit singles Forever Lost, Love Me Like You and Love’s A Game and propelled them to a Mercury Prize nomination.

Their second L.P., Those The Brokes, followed in 2006 receiving widespread critical acclaim and their last album, 2010’s The Runaway, cemented them as household names. The band has sold over a million albums worldwide. Bassist Michele Stodart released her beautifully composed acoustic and country-inspired debut solo album, Wide-Eyed Crossing, in 2012.

The Magic Numbers are: Romeo Stodart (guitar, piano and vocals), Michele Stodart (bass guitar and vocals), Angela Gannon (keyboards, melodica, glockenspiel and vocals) and Sean Gannon (drums).

Tickets are on sale Friday 21st March at 10am and are available from www.gigsandtours.com (0844 811 0051).
