The Unity Theatre is set to host Liverpool very first Acoustic Festival this March. Headlined by Liverpool legend and former Icicle Works member, Ian McNabb and critically-acclaimed Liverpool born, Robert Vincent, the festival features over 15 upcoming artists as well as more established acts, seminars, record fairs, Q&As, workshops and special events.

The festival stars Ian McNabb, a Liverpool legend, with a career spanning over 30 years. Best known for 80’s iconic band The Icicle Works, Ian’s critically acclaimed solo career has seen him play shows all over the world and has also played with Ringo Starr, Crazy Horse, Mike Scott (The Waterboys) and The Lightning Seeds.
Robert Vincent is Described by Q magazine as “The Scouse Springsteen” Robert draws from a range of genres including Americana, 70s English music and country music as well as his Merseyside roots. His debut album Life In Easy Steps has gained him many plaudits, being hailed by The Times and The Guardian as one to watch.
Liverpool singer-songwriter, Anna Corcoran is a musician with echoes of Carole King and Joni Mitchell, whose critically-acclaimed E.P Anything Better earned her a nomination as Female Artist of the Year at the Liverpool Music Awards 2013. Since then she’s gone on to be featured on B.B.C. Radio 2 and B.B.C. 6 Music.
Ewan McLennan is a critically-acclaimed, multi award-winner (B.B.C. Radio 2 Horizon Award) combines traditional folk with a sound of his native Scotland. Ewan was also featured on B.B.C. 4’s Transatlantic Sessions along with other established folk artists, gaining him a reputation as a rising talent in the world of folk music.
Megan Thomas is a Liverpool-born singer/songwriter/pianist whose beautiful voice and delicate playing has echoes of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. Megan is currently working with US producer Alan Glass (Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire and George Benson) on a full length debut album due for late 2014.
Tickets for the performances are priced at (Friday 21st) 6pm till 11pm £12. All day Saturday pass £20. Saturday 1pm till 5pm £10 and from 6pm till 11pm £14. Full weekend pass £30. Tickets are available from the Unity Theatre Box office.
