Talkwood Productions’ new musical version of Charles Dickens’ iconic classic A Christmas Carol embarks on a tour of major U.K, theatres in the run-up to Christmas this year and the tour is set to officially open at St. Helens Theatre Royal on Monday 18th November.
This re-envisioning of Dickens’s much loved Christmas classic has been written and devised by four young theatre professionals who met at school and will feature a top-quality professional cast, including established West End performers who will take to the stage alongside two teams of children, who will alternate on tour.
Ebeneezer Scrooge is a mean and lonely man who prefers money to people. However, on Christmas Eve he is visited first by the spirit of Jacob Marley, his former business partner and then by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future who take him on an incredible journey using innovative special effects, lighting and the magic of Christmas to show him the error of his ways.
This new tour, culminating in a three-week run at London’s Charing Cross Theatre over Christmas and New Year, follows a smaller, critically-acclaimed tour last year. Reviewers described the show as “The perfect tonic for a bleak winter night”, ”Instantly immersive” and “A real sizzler of a show” so be sure to treat the whole family this Christmas to a night at the theatre with one of the nation’s best loved stories, presented in a brand new and innovative way.
Tickets for this show are priced at £48 for a family ticket, £15 for adult and £12 for concession. Tickets available from the St. Helens Theatre Royal.
