Elbow today announce details of a new album and U.K. Arena tour for 2014, their first live dates for over a year along with an exclusive bundle for fans who pre-order the album.
The tour starts at Birmingham’s LG Arena on April 5th and will come to the Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday 12th April.
The band’s sixth studio album, currently being recorded at their facilities at Blueprint Studios, Salford, will be released in March 2014. As with previous albums, the platinum Build a Rocket Boys!’ and multi-platinum The Seldom Seen Kid, the production and mixing of the album is being undertaken by keyboardist Craig Potter.
Elbow’s first ever live D.V.D, Live At Jodrell Bank consists of two C.D.s and a D.V.D. covering the entire performance at the Cheshire Observatory and a documentary of the event by long standing collaborators The Soup Collective, featuring exclusive interviews with the band and backstage footage.
Fans will have the opportunity to pre-order the new album to be delivered in March 2014, as well as an exclusive bundle including a D.V.D./double C.D. of the band’s 2012 headline performance at Jodrell Bank for immediate despatch, for a limited time only via the band’s websitewww.elbow.co.uk.
Tickets for all arena shows go on general sale at 9am on Friday 4th October. Tickets are priced at £30 for the night at the Liverpool Echo.
