Two local actors are set to stage a self-penned, family inspired play at Liverpool’s Lantern Theatre. Hayley Riley and Louise Evans of Haylo Theatre Company are both graduates of the University of Chester. Despite studying at the same university a two – year gap between the girls meant that they only met as post graduates whilst working for a Theatre in Education Company in Chester. Their mutual love of performance forged a strong friendship between the girls and Haylo Theatre was born.
A year and a half on Haylo Theatre are delighted to be performing their debut production Over the Garden Fence at the Lantern Theatre Liverpool on Saturday 27th September, in what they hope to be the first of many performances. Hayley and Louise who say. “It has taken us a long time to get it to the point where we can bring it to life and lift it off the pages wrote the play in collaboration. The time it has taken to put this piece together is, , partly because they wanted to create something which they were entirely happy with and also because every time they got together for a writing session, there were so many ideas, stories and characters that they wanted to share.”
Enthusiasm exudes from this talented young company as they explain that the biggest inspiration behind their first play is family. With witty anecdotes, family tales and reminiscing, this performance is set to be enjoyable for all.
