In a city that has produced more than its fair share of music legends, song writers and iconic performers, perhaps two that stand out of the crowd in modern terms are Ian McNabb and Ian Prowse. Together with their respective bands, Cold Shoulder and Amsterdam, the pair have joined forces for one evening to create a show on September 28th that will be surely seen as one of the highlights of the year for fans of live music in Liverpool.
Ian McNabb has recently released his latest critically acclaimed album Eclectic Warrior and for Mr. Prowse it has been an equally busy time as he gears up for recording the new Amsterdam album and having produced two immense shows on back to back nights at The Rodewald Suite at The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, as well as continuously hosting and showcasing local talent at his Monday Night Club in The Cavern Pub.
Both musicians certainly know how to give their audience’s a show to remember and feel part of and will be a perfect way to round off what has already been a fantastic summer of music in Liverpool. With an abundance of hits and classic songs and albums coming from both camps, such as Head Like A Rock, the phenomenal Great Things and his work with his band The Icicle Works such as If You Want to Defeat Your Enemy, Sing His Song from Ian McNabb and tracks such as Arm In Arm, Home, Fireworks, from his days in Pele and the outstanding local anthem Does This Train Stop on Merseyside by Ian Prowse, the night will be wall to wall with music from Liverpool’s heart and soul.
