Grin Theatre Productions are proud to present the sensational Queertet 2013, the sequel to last year’s sell out, award nominated Queertet 2012.
Queertet 2013 is a festival of new and original short LGBT plays that will herald the start of Liverpool’s Pride celebrations. The plays celebrate everything LGBT and above everything else provides an uplifting, positive feel good factor that will also show off the brilliant talent that makes up one of the must see theatrical events of the year.
Grin Theatre has announced that this year’s Queertet will be hosted by Eddie Fortune, a man who has thrilled audiences in such plays as Tongues, Love Me Do and Elastic Bridge. Expect laughs, thrills and a dash of filth in the Lantern Theatre on Blundell Street.
The productions that have been carefully put together include Two’s Up – An outrageous sequel to last year’s side splitting comedy about the Mother from Hell and her put upon son (and this time there’s a hunky plumber in the mayhem that ensues), Honey Get Over It! A sharp and witty cross between Ghost and Drop Dead Fred with camp complications and misunderstandings, About The Boy which is a Sweet and frothy love story about lesbian cross dressing and the odd moustache! Finally WLTM, a New York coffee shop with the lonely hearts with uplifting new and original music – Grin’s exciting new musical.
Queertet runs from the 25th to 27th July and performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £8.50 with concessions available at £6.50.
