When the Rain Stops Falling by Andrew Bovell is an epic play, spanning eight decades, four generations and two hemispheres and will be coming to Liverpool’s Unity Theatre between Tuesday 18th and Saturday 22nd June.
From the stifling heat of Alice Springs to the cold damp of London’s streets, from 1959 to 2039, from the extraordinary summit of Uluru to the ordinariness of a grimy London flat. Follow Gabriel Law as he retraces the paths of his ancestors, on a journey to piece together the jigsaw puzzle of his own identity.
Said&done are a young professional theatre company established in 2012. Their aims are to: create powerful theatre that explores challenging themes through the medium of contemporary heightened text; to provide sustainable employment for both established and emerging artists including actors, designers, technicians and producers; and to develop new audiences within the North West. In June 2012, Said&done produced its premiere production, bash: latter day plays by Neil LaBute, at the Unity Theatre.
