LHK Youth Theatre will bring Disney’s High School Musical on Stage to the Epstein Theatre this July with three days of all singing all dancing family entertainment chockfull of fun, friendship and show stopping numbers. From 4th – 6th July audiences can join their favourite braniacs, jocks, thespians, and skater dudes as they sing and dance their way through high school in this stage spectacular which has never been seen before on the Epstein stage and features fresh up and coming talent from across Merseyside.
High School Musical on Stage follows East High’s most popular student, basketball star Troy Bolton as he meets the girl of his dreams in the school’s newest student; beautiful brainiac Gabriella Montez. Bonding after discovering a secret passion for singing the pair begin to fall in love, however, when they both decide to audition for their school’s musical they turn the whole school upside down, breaking the unwritten social rules and sending shockwaves throughout their social cliques. Described by critics as a modern day Romeo and Juliet, the blockbuster film, starring Hollywood’s leading teen heartthrob Zac Efron alongside Disney favourites Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, smashed records when it premiered on the Disney channel in 2006 and we just know this stage version is set to be just as popular with audiences.
Including all of your favourite songs from the number one smash hit soundtrack, such as Breaking Free and We’re all in this Together, High School Musical is an infectious celebration with a story that says you don’t have to change to be accepted, you just have to be yourself and a fun-tastic musical experience you and your family will never forget!
