Clout Theatre Bring How A Man Crumbled To The Unity.

Award-winning Clout Theatre invite you to dive into the absurd world of the Russian poet and false moustache wearer Daniil Kharms in their production of How A Man Crumbled on Friday 8th February.

Expressionist silent film meets grotesque slapstick in a world where clocks have no hands and a cucumber can kill a man. Three storytellers let narrative escape them as comic vignettes, metaphysical ponderings and bouts of senseless violence provide constant distraction.

Clout are an award winning theatre company based in London. All members trained at École International de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq.
They make theatre that has variously been described as ‘meaningless’ and dealing with ‘sex, death, philosophy and religion’.

Combining absurd humour with visual poetry our work casts an irreverent eye on the human condition in all its sublime ridiculousness. Thrown into the mix are clowning, dance, original score and the odd dash of text. In 2012 they were nominated for a Total Theatre Award and won the Physical Fest Audience Award.
Total Theatre Magazine said of the play, “‘Full of vim and vigour… this is indeed a company to watch”.

Tickets are available from the Unity Theatre Box office on Hope Place, Online at www.unitytheatreliverpool.co.uk or by telephone on 0844 873 2888. Tickets are priced at £10 with concessions available at £8.
