Always There.

It is said that the wind and rain will always be there.

No matter how many times they say that the Earth is dying on us today.

It is said that the sun will continue to shine every day my love,

Even though they can prove it isn’t so with a dozen dossiers.

And now, they have all the proof on camera

It doesn’t lie the way honest men do.

And I find myself hoping they are wrong

And it is all in their heards.

I hope to find that the world will refresh

And begin again anew.

I hope to feel the subtle rain today

Wash over my naked fears,

Wash over my naked face.

They say to make the most of this weather,

They can’t decide if it’s going to get worse or any better.

It is said that the snow and ice will always fall in the wintertime

And spring will follow just as it always did

But I lost you in the snow-covered hills

And the springtime never did refresh me a kid.

It is said the world has gone through a cycle.

A passage of time that must always happen

Whether we want it to or not is not the question

If we listen to more excuses.

Will we not learn today’s vital lesson.

I remember sunny days I took for granted

My young view was obscured and slanted.

Now I see,

 What I need to see

Someone high above was lying to you and me

And now it’s not right and it’s not fair

But what do those makers of storms really care.

And now, the end is near my love

I hope to be joining you.

For I have nothing to look forward to

If I wake in storms

And not the early morning hew.
